You think Sebring is going to be cancelled? I really can’t get a read on that one. I don’t see the city or state shutting it down but I don’t know who already shipped their equipment in for testing the last few weeks. I can see the WEC half getting canned but I’m not sure about IM SA. I guess we’ll see.

Vettel did all he could to keep it contained.

The longer this goes on it seems like we may have a cancelled or suspended championship this year.

There’s so much alcohol at Sebring that no virus can survive.

China is lying about having no new cases, too. They just completed locking down the internet and everyone else is too worried about the action outside their borders to be watching them closely anymore.

The restaurant I worked at in college had a lot of Russian employees. They swore up and down that they drink vodka there to avoid food poisoning.

I would be very sad if it happens (since I’m still job hunting), but would totally understand.
I think the driver s should all just log into Assetto Corsa and race the championship online and broadcast it live.

Exactly! On a side note, I don’t understand why Disney hasn’t delayed the release of the live action Mulan film unless China is insisting on keeping up appearances.

Good luck with that. I suggest a bidet and even I don’t want one!

Dont forget bread, milk, eggs, and bottled water. Also drywall masks.

Xi confirmed that though. I really don’t think the State Chairman of the People’s Republic of China would lie about that sort of thing.
![]() 03/11/2020 at 14:26 |

Oh yeah, I forgot the masks, very useful. 3 pallets of water should be ok.

I shower after every bathroom event. That’s right, I’m so glorious I have events. Fuck water and those slimy fish.

The WHO report from last week indicated that reduced Chinese numbers are real, driven by hyper aggressive testing and isolation of the infected, and people who may have been exposed, which is at least plausible.
Of course we’ve already seen one prominent international health agency omit references to T raditional Chinese Medicine not being an effective treatment from their site when viewed in China, so it’s also still possible that the WHO report is not fully objective.

But how can I eat my French toast with a drywall mask on?

Why start now?

I’m curious how things are going to play out for sports in general. We got March Madness about to start up, and they are talking about playing in empty arenas (and honestly it’s pretty ghastly that universities are shutting down, and sending home students, but big time college sports are too important to cancel), NBA and NHL games still going on, and baseball will be firing up in early April, though perhaps given the vulnerability of old people, perhaps we should be more worried about spring training games in Florida and Arizona.
If this stuff starts shutting down, or becoming TV only, it will send a pretty powerful signal that things are fucked up.

We are sort of forced to rely upon our govern ment in this. Where I live, Alameda County, California, everyone is looking at the county agencies to read the situation. Just waiting. My next door teacher neighbor was exposed over the weekend. Let’s see what comes of this because abundance of caution. I’ll be working on my kitchen...

Nor would the president of the United States, for that matter. Both are men of the highest integrity and purest motivations, which same could be said of the vast majority of politicians.

And the numbers here aren’t budging because nobody is getting tested. A week ago Mother’s husband told us that anyone who wants to get tested can get tested. And from personal experience I can say that doctors offices still don’t even know how to order a test for this virus right now. There are certainly MANY people walking around infected and spreading it around right now but we are doing absolutely nothing about it.
If the administration’s goal is to not impact the economy they’re doing a brilliant job at making sure they fail spectacularly at that once the actual numbers start skyrocketing once test kits finally make their way to patients.

I wouldn’t wish for a stock market crash to evict 45, but I’d certainly welcome a 45 eviction as a consolation prize for a crashed market.

I’m still looking at that mess as a correction. High oil prices helped give the Rs the boo t in 08. Now we have wacky low oil prices, so I’m not holding my breath.

I am forming the opinion that lots of people went to the bathroom and reached for the TP and discovered they were out because they never have more than one or two rolls in reserve at any given time. Now they’re butt-hurt, literally.

It’s an interesting twist. I read an analysis that says Putin and MBS are trying to blacken President Trump’s eye. Like kicking him in the head when he’s down.
![]() 03/11/2020 at 17:27 |
|
I suspect that won’t work. The stock market mess might hurt 45 , but cheap gas will help him, as most stocks are held by a very small amount of the population , but almost everyone has to buy gas. Besides. I believe Putin wants 45 in office for the chaos factor anyway.
![]() 03/11/2020 at 17:31 |

I think hoarding is just a mentality that never went away. I always keep around 10 in reserve. If I get low and stocks are out, I’ll be displeased. I’ve read you can’t get zicam or similar now too. Time to hoard that as well.

They just cancelled the national music competition I used to bring kids to. Obviously they’re refunding tickets and entry fees but there are a lot of schools out money for flights.

Yes. I remember. I have an inlaw who worked purchasing in aerospace and though he couldn’t hold a job, he never had much problem finding work.

Well I’m certainly am struggling right now. No luck so far with aerospace, healthcare, commercial food distribution, construction, etc. I just hope it's not because of Covid-19.
